I'm going to opt-in for Hannibal to learn whatever you'd like from the flower girl!

Aerith actually has quite a bit of trauma in her background that is treated pretty lightly in her canon. She and her mother were taken captive by a scientist shortly after Aerith was born, and she spent the first six years of her life held in a cell while her mother was regularly experimented on. After escaping with Aerith, her mother died due to the injuries received in her breakout, leaving Aerith with a woman that happened by. Spending the rest of her life evading capture by the government thugs sent out to bring her back to the scientist, Aerith managed to do pretty well until after the start of the game when she finally does get recaptured.

cw: near-miss with sexual abuse and bestiality

Being the last living member of an ancient race with advanced magical abilities, the scientist wanted to preserve her species, and locked her into a reinforced glass holding cell with another member of an endangered species who happens to be a sentient lion. He intended to watch the coupling for research purposes, but took immense glee in not only Aerith's discomfort but also the act itself. Luckily Red XIII had no interest in following Professor Hojo's plan and pretended to be aggressive, acting like he was going to attack Aerith to buy time until they could both be rescued.

Aerith has had to deal with multiple cases of kidnapping and physical violence from her kidnappers, as well as eventually being murdered, which ended with her dying slowly from bloodloss and shock, and being laid to rest in an arctic lake. All of which she remembers fairly clearly.

If you would be interested, Hannibal could find some of this out and possibly offer Aerith some counselling sessions to help her get over her traumatic past and the horrors that were done to her?

Once learning this, he would quite possibly feel for her (he's a sucker for a true sob story) and therefore she would be safe from him wanting to ever kill and consume her. So that's a comfort right!?

Oh yes please!!! Especially since she had her first panic attack during the ball and is trying to figure out why she's suffering from something like that now. She'll likely be pretty suspicious of Hannibal at first but does need help with her trauma, and this entire CR delights me more than it probably should, I love this idea!!

Wonderful! I shall make sure he approaches her about it at some point. What is the likelihood he would have seen her panic attack? As that might be a good opener for him.
I would love this CR! Aerith is such a sweet summer child, Hannibal would take to her and want to make sure she lives her best life. even if that means killing people who wrong her >.>

It's pretty likely, actually! It was triggered by a rather violent removal of one of her flowers! I'll link it, but it's pretty heavy on the gore and body horror! The anxiety attack starts here and turns into a full panic attack within the next few posts. It wasn't very subtle.

Aerith is not entirely sure how she feels about this but I love it

Just a flat statement here I'm cool with most anything so far, and if anyone somehow comes up, I'd say.

There is a lot of human experimentation, police brutality, and violence against minorities and such in his past, and he's welcome to see if he can learn anything from the guy. Despite being the cool-headed charismatic leader type, he has quite the temper which can and has been manipulated before.

I would love to have Hannibal learn of this temper you mentioned? He has a tendency to manipulate people and I can see him attempting it here if given the chance.
Also, as a means of learning more about Lio, Hannibal would be open to giving sessions where people can come and get a bit of therapy from him if that would be something Lio might be into?

Yeah, i would be interested in seeing what he'd be able to get out of Lio, since he's very distrusting of people....but his anger is pretty easily manipulated b/c he's so protective of his identity as a Burnish and his people he has
/rubs little fly hands together. He's very wary, but also young and stupid

THAT SAID:

Annie is basically a Final Girl. Her boyfriend murdered her friends using a magical ritual he found to try and gain wealth and power. When that didn't work he lured Annie out who was just starting to figure out what was going on and attempted to kill her next. He failed and Annie killed him in self-defense (fueled more than a bit by rage).

She has depression issues from prior to this and since she hasn't had enough time to properly mourn her friends that's going to start creeping in. Part of her depression stems from worrying about not being "enough". When she isn't feeling awful she is a cheerful friendly young girl who just really wants friends. There also is very much an air of her looking to fill a hole when she makes friends with new people. Hannibal would easily pick up Annie is hoping to recapture the feelings her murdered friends gave her. They were very close.

Oh wow, she sounds like she's been through a lot! Hannibal would be very interested in getting to know her. He tends to lean more towards interesting people.

Like he has been offering others, I can see him offering Annie some sessions to help her with her troubled mind. He's could talk her through the grief she feels and ever the survivor's guilt she might suffer from it anything to do with her boyfriend came up. That is if you're interested?

If not, he likes people who are intelligent and not in the slightest rude, so he could always just become a kind ear and older friend is she didn't want sessions from him.
